Momma – Welcome to My Blue Sky + I Want You (Fever)

Brooklyn-based Momma today announced their highly anticipated new album Welcome to My Blue Sky will be released April 4th, 2025. The band have also shared the euphoric lead single “I Want You (Fever)”, supported by a Jaxon Whittington-directed video. Welcome To My Blue Sky is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2022 album Household Name, which saw Momma become one of the best new bands to watch.

“I Want You (Fever)” is indicative of the highly detailed, inventive and visceral sounds on display across Welcome To My Blue Sky. The track was a breakthrough moment for Momma, ushering in a new era for the band, where autobiographical snapshots are paired with widescreen songwriting and irresistible hooks.

Momma - I Want You (Fever) (Music Video)

‘I Want You (Fever)’ is a song we wrote about wanting to be with someone who has a girlfriend, or someone who isn’t over their ex,” explains the band. “It’s pining after someone, but there’s also some confidence knowing that that person wants to be with you. The second we wrote that song we felt like we were entering a new era – we scrapped everything we had written for the album up to that point because it felt so fresh and so exciting.

Momma – Etta Friedman (songwriter/vocalist/guitarist), Allegra Weingarten (songwriter/vocalist/guitarist), Aron Kobayashi Ritch (producer/bassist), and Preston Fulks (drummer) – have also been announced as part of the line-ups for this year’s editions of Outbreak festival and Primavera Sound, as well as confirming a full US tour for Welcome To My Blue Sky. Late last year the band provided the first official taste of the album with the release of “Ohio All The Time” which laid the foundation of what is sure to be an exceptional 2025 for the band.
