So, the holidays are definitely over and all systems are go at Lucky Number. In 2010 we celebrate our 5th Anniversary and it’s going to be a fantastic year with a lot of great music. We’re also delighted that our very first post of the year is to inform you of a new addition to the label – the one and only Darwin Deez. See the official announcement below.
Darwin Deez is thrilled to announce that he has signed to UK independent record label Lucky Number. Joining a small internationally vibrant roster that includes Sebastien Tellier, Gotye, Little Red and Seventeen Evergreen, Darwin Deez will release his debut album in April 2010.
Darwin Deez has asked us to announce his signing because “after many episodes of making out in the boiler room, [he] is sick of being Jordan Catalano’s secret toy” and is now ready to release his album. Lucky Number say “We’re truly flattered Darwin has chosen us, and also by the Jared Leto comparison – which we, of course, had to look up on the internet. 2010 is our 5th Anniversary as a label, it probably couldn’t have started any better”.
Meanwhile, those who appreciate a bargain can grab two free downloads from the forthcoming album by signing up to Darwin’s mailing list on the his website.
Darwin also wants us to mention that he’s recently acquired numerous new sweaters which he will wear according to his mood throughout 2010.
