Sleigh Bells today share new track ‘You Don’t Get Me Twice’ from forthcoming album Bitter Rivals which is set for release 7th October 2013.

‘You Don’t Get Me Twice’ follows the video for the album’s title track and first single, ‘Bitter Rivals’, which achieved an impressive 1.5 million views on Youtube in it’s first week and, as another example of their distinctive vision, it was directed by the band themselves. Watch the video to ‘Bitter Rivals’ here.

FTSE – St.Tropez Video

Excited to share the excellent FTSE video for St.Tropez.

Shot in Manchester and directed by Luke Bather, of Plastic Zoo, the video perfectly compliments the original narrative of the song. The desire to escape the relentless grey that surrounds which, for the lonely main character in the video, is achieved via Karaoke.

We are thrilled to announce that we have signed New York-based duo Sleigh Bells and will release their new album, Bitter Rivals, on 7th October 2013, working with Mom + Pop.  Bitter Rivals will be the band’s third album, and, following their 2010 debut, Treats, and 2012 album Reign Of Terror, it is surely their best yet.

The 10 song album, which has been produced by guitarist, Derek Miller, mixed by Andrew Dawson (Kanye West) and written by Miller and singer Alexis Krauss, finds the band showing their established and unique aesthetic as strongly as ever, whilst clearly continuing to create an ever more relevant and excitingly badass form of pop music.

The video for the album’s title track and first single, Bitter Rivals, is now available to watch below and via the band’s Website bitterrivals.us. As another example of their distinctive vision it was directed by the band themselves, and made in conjunction with The Creators Project.

The album is available to pre-order now and the single will be available to buy digitally from midnight tonight.

FTSE – Lost In Translation (ft.Femme)

“…essentially Jarvis Cocker in Burial’s body, or Drake if he came from the Midlands not Ontario.” The Guardian

Ahead of the release of FTSE II EP, FTSE (pronounced ‘footsie’) shares new track ‘Lost In Translation’, as premiered on FADER.

‘Lost In Translation’ is exceptional in every way. A simple arpeggio fades up, like the solar energy of daybreak, and featured co-vocalist, Femme, emits an angelic coo like cotton wool before a penetrating break of snares cracks through the ether and an equally engaging baritone propels the post-club narrative. “Never again, until next weekend. I just gotta get some sleep and I’ll be fine” the key message that alternates, always hopefully, between remorse and revelation.

Having made his live debut supporting AlunaGeorge in London in June, FTSE returns to headline Corsica Studios on the 25th of September. Details and tickets : HERE
