Deers – now Hinds

Hinds

Deers, from Madrid, have today announced that they have changed their name to Hinds, for legal reasons. Read a quote below from the band explaining the move.

“This is sadly the most official post we’ve ever made: We have to change our name.

We mean…they force us to. We received an email from a Canadian lawyer saying that our name created confusion with his band’s name. And that name is not even Deers (LOL). We tried our best, really, but we have no choice. So…

Okay!!! Let’s take this with a smile 🙂 !!!!

Deers are now…Hinds!

And we are still the same people, we are even the same animal! Unbelievable!! We don’t usually ask you guys for anything, but PLEASE you’d really make this easier for us if you shared this amazing info. Let’s have a super 2015!!

Hinds

Sorry & Thank You

See you on tour!!”

Alex G – Harvey Video

We’re thrilled to present the video for ‘Harvey’, the latest off-kilter single to be lifted from Alex G’s DSU, directed by Colin Acchione .  Though only 21 years of age, and until recently a student at Philadelphia’s Temple University, DSU is Alex Giannascoli’s fifth album under his shortened moniker. All recorded at home, almost exclusively solo, and, until recently, all digitally self-released DSU has been highly received having been nominated as one of the albums of the year by CrackThe Line of Best Fit and Time Out.

‘Harvey’ is an enticing bite of Giannascoli’s world, one that’s sure to get you hooked from the direct opening salvo of “success for my buddies, success for my friends”. Short and sweet with a structure that poses one verse into it’s own compelling chorus, ‘Harvey’ is all jangling guitars and reinvigorating confidence. The video delves deeper into Alex G’s abstract universe, featuring footage of a burning doll’s house and mysterious, swirling images of Giannascoli himself.

Get Hot – Fight Video

Get Hot have today premiered their video for ‘FIGHT’, with  Noisey.

Directed by Billy Boyd Cape and featuring Billy Taylor, who represented Great Britain at Men’s Featherweight at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, the aim of the video was to keep things raw, real and honest. A real boxer to really throw himself at the camera and for it to be filmed in one continuous take. Like the song itself, the video is instantly in-yer-face and totally innovative.

Get Hot will be performing at The Islington, London on Monday 24h November in conjunction with DIY Magazine (Free Entry).
