Brandon Can't Dance: Back in Bed EP
After last year’s critically acclaimed debut album collection Graveyard of Good Times, Brandon Ayres, a.k.a. Brandon Can’t Dance is back again with a mini-album of new material. Titled Back in Bed, this new EP once again showcases Brandon’s typically idiosyncratic songwriting, that quickly moves between a vareity of genre and style.
The beautifully forlorn and Western soundtrack-tinged acoustic stand-out “Dead Growing” -“Shake me up and pour me out / Empty now and partied out” – lines up alongside the sad-at-the-party angst anthem “Totally Freaking Out” – “All my fears condensed to one last kiss, some broken hearts for girls, broken record spins”.
Brandon says: “All of these songs were recorded around a time when my old band broke up and my living situation was up in the air but I knew that recording as much as I could would help me in some way.”
