Oscar: Daffodil Days
Oscar Scheller announced today his signing to London-based independent label Wichita Recordings and the release of his debut single ‘Daffodil Days’, out on 1st March for St David’s Day.
It’s a match made in indie pop heaven, between the label behind the careers of Bloc Party, The Cribs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Peter, Bjorn & John and the 23-year-old North London art school drop out.
He joins Wichita’s active roster that includes Cloud Nothings, Girlpool and Waxahatchee. The B-side to the new single is ‘Caramel Brown’, also on the 7” vinyl release (as well as digital). Both tracks were written, recorded and produced by Oscar and mixed by Claudius Mittendorfer (Temples, Johnny Marr, Jens Lekman, Neon Indian). 2015 has a new slacker-pop crush.
Oscar says;
Hey everybody, I’ve been bursting holding this news in and now I can finally tell you. I am officially now part of the Wichita Records family!! I am beyond happy to have found a home there. Gonna be releasing my single ‘Daffodil Days’ which is very close to my heart and I hope you love it too! Can’t wait to bring good vibes and new music to you this year. Let the adventures begin 😉
Here we go!
